Salik, meaning "open" or "clear" in Arabic, is Dubai's automated road toll system. Unlike traditional toll booths, Salik operates without barriers, allowing you to drive freely without stopping.
The system uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. A small sticker tag on your windshield is scanned automatically each time you pass beneath a gate, deducting the fee from your prepaid account instantly.
There are 8 Salik toll gates at strategic points across Dubai. Planning your route helps you manage costs effectively.
